The General Workers' Union has welcomed news of the Lm110 million investment in Malta by the Dubai-based Tecom Investments.

The union said it backed any initiative that created jobs and augured that the negotiations with Tecom bore fruit. The GWU said it was prepared to lend a hand so that any investment in Malta succeeded and translated into jobs for Maltese workers.
