The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has issued directives to nursing aides and care workers at St Vincent De Paul Residence and to health inspectors working within the Public Health Department's head office.

The union's health services section has directed nursing aides and care workers at St Vincent De Paul not to sign as nurses' witness when medicines are being counted.

In a letter to the director of the department for the elderly, the union insisted that the role of nursing aides and care workers was not connected to medicines.

The union has also ordered health inspectors not to do any clerical work which is not part of their job. In a letter to the Health Division the union explained that the health inspectors have been without clerical help for some time.
