Villarreal's Diego Forlan said the absence of suspended Rangers striker Dado Prso could prove crucial in their Champions League return leg on March 7.
The Croatian striker picked up a yellow card in the dying minutes of Wednesday's 2-2 draw at Ibrox and Forlan believes it could tip the balance of the tie in the Primera Liga club's favour.
"Prso is out and that is a little bit better for us because he is a good, strong player," said the former Manchester United forward.
"We will be the favourites after scoring the two goals and of course playing at home."
Villarreal were in front from a Juan Roman Riquelme penalty after Prso handled the Argentine's corner kick on eight minutes before Dane Peter Lovenkrands levelled the scores.
Forlan restored the lead on 35 minutes when the players seemed to hesitate awaiting an offside decision before Bolivian Juan Manuel Pena turned the ball into his own net with eight minutes remaining to make it 2-2.
