Power cuts

A contractor who was carrying out works in Zabbar damaged an underground power cable yesterday at 10.15 a.m. disrupting the electricity supply to parts of Zabbar and Marsascala, Enemalta Corporation said.

The works were being carried out in Alissio Eardi Street c/w Capuchins Street.

The electricity service was restored by 5.06 p.m. using alternative sources.

At 3 p.m. yesterday the electricity service was interrupted in parts of Marsascala and Zejtun due to a fault in an overhead cable caused by bad weather.

The electricity service will be restored once the fault is repaired, the corporation said.
