Theft charge

A 27-year-old man was yesterday charged with stealing several items and relapsing.

Joseph Zammit, of St Paul's Bay, pleaded not guilty to stealing the items to the detriment of Kenneth Micallef, driving a car without a licence or insurance cover and relapsing on Sunday.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspector Michael Mallia prosecuted.

Lawyer Emmanuel Mallia appeared for Mr Zammit.
