The Central Bank has issued a new decimal coin set dated 2006.

The set consists of the seven current Maltese coins of the Second Series (Lm1, 50c, 25c, 10c, 5c, 2c and 1c) together with a three mils coin of the First Series.

The coins were struck at the Royal Mint, UK and are being sold in an attractive wallet.

The 2006 set is available for sale at the price of Lm10.50 (including VAT) from the Malta Coins Distribution Centre, at the Central Bank in Valletta.

Those who purchase the set will be issued with a token guaranteeing the purchase of a set of the first Maltese euro coins which will be issued by the Central Bank.

The Central Bank also has available for sale a limited number of 2005 sets at Lm10.50.
