Located in Mellieha Tas-Sellum Residence is just a stone's throw away from Ghadira, Malta's largest sandy beach.
Lying between the Santa Marija villa development on the east and the land on the west, this project is planned to be a quality seafront development comprising clusters of freehold apartments set in outstanding landscaping and taking advantage of the steep and commanding site.
This will provide most apartments with superb sea and country views in the process. Complementing the landscaping and views, features include low building density with variations in block levels, earthy colours, a practically car-free zone, underlying garages and three swimming pools.
With permits in hand for apartments and terraced houses, architects had to plan the development so that, while taking full advantage of the contours of the land to maximise the magnificent views from the apartments, the development merged into the hillside.
For the development to further merge with the surroundings, landscaping is being given particular attention with sensitive use of indigenous trees, shrubs and plants, and rubble walls. A first for Malta is that all residences won't have water tanks, air-conditioners or television aerials fixed on top of their roofs. This will further safeguard the environment.
Tas-Sellum Residence is a designated area which means that foreign purchasers buy under the same conditions as the Maltese, i.e. one may let out the property; buy in the name of individuals or companies and one may purchase more than one unit.
The outstanding new seafront development is being built in three continuous phases, all of which provide an ideal investment and residential opportunity.
The first phase, comprising five clusters of 56 apartments, has now been finalised and the remaining ones just need a few finishing touches. All apartments in this phase have already been sold.
Construction of the second phase, launched on the market on May 16 last year, and comprising four clusters of 46 apartments containing a mix of one- two- and three-bedroomed apartments and duplex penthouses, will start soon.
Overall, the three phases of this residence comprise approximately 130 apartments built in clusters around the swimming pools.
As with Portomaso, Tas-Sellum Residence is another development by Tumas Group, aimed at setting standards to upgrade the environs.
