Carnival Ball in aid of Eden Foundation

The Eden Foundation will hold a Carnival Ball at Gondolier Hall, Gudja Road, Tarxien on February 24 at 7.30 p.m. to raise much needed funds to sustain its services.

This year, the foundation's projected expenditure exceeds Lm760,000.

Around 400 children, adolescents and adults with mental disabilities benefit from Eden's programmes. They all receive services from tutors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists besides having other educational programmes to cater for their individual needs. The foundation was set up 14 years ago and more than 1,000 children and adults have benefited in one way or another from the educational services it offers.

Over 120 persons have been placed in employment through the foundation, 80 of which retained their place.

The foundation said that its basic aim is to help children and adults develop their potential to the full so they can function in mainstream society.

Tickets for the ball can be obtained from the foundation at Lm1.50. Children attend free.
