HSBC Life Assurance Ltd announced an increase in the annual bonus rate for all its with-profits products.

There has been an increase of 0.50 per cent to 4.5 per cent as a bonus rate for 2005.

Under the current tax regulations, this bonus is tax-free for the policyholder.

Richard Reid, managing director at HSBC Life Insurance Malta Limited, said: "I am pleased that we have been able to increase our bonus rate this year reflecting a particularly strong investment performance in 2005 on the with-profits fund."
