Island Hotels Group employees clinched 48 awards at the Malta Kulinarja competition held in the first week of this month.
The Malta Cookery and Food Association, which organised the competition, gave 40 members of staff from the kitchen and service section of the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort and Spa and the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort 48 awards, including five gold, seven silver, 16 bronze medals and 20 certificates. Winston J. Zahra, director of operations, sales and marketing, Island Hotels Group, said: "We are all very proud of this achievement. We have a great food and beverage team and the result achieved continues to show how committed and well prepared our brigade is in maintaining and improving culinary standards.
"The competition is a good vehicle for people to experiment and be innovative in their creations. Such competitions are also very good to help raise standards and to enable individuals to improve their own self-development."
