Award for hotel's housekeeping team

The housekeeping team of the Victoria Hotel in Sliema was awarded the Guest Satisfaction Award for Winter 2005 after achieving high marks in a new guest questionnaire.

Praise was also lavished on the hotel's kitchen department, with positive comments made about the standard of food and service, the hotel said. The guests considered the housekeeping section efficient and friendly.

Claire Xuereb, general manager at The Victoria, said: "The questionnaire gives us direction and helps us progress. To date most of the comments were positive and even offered some original suggestions.

"We appreciate the guests' response which, though not always practical to implement, is interesting and sometimes even entertaining."
