Reference is made to an opinion article written by Marvic Attard Gialanzè entitled Down South (February 9).
Ms Attard Gialanze' wrote: "We have the four MLP councillors who peevishly rouse up the rabble, foaming at the mouth and roaring for anything that is liable to put the governing party in a bad light. (Of course, the situation would be reversed with a change in government)."
I totally object to anyone describing me in such a manner. Since the day I entered the political arena, I have always communicated my message in a convinced but calm and gentlemanly manner, seeking dialogue and pacific discourse. Should Ms Attard Gialanze' ever try to depict me in this manner again I will immediately take the required legal action against her.
Secondly if Ms Attard Gialanze' has not yet understood that I, for one, am working hard against the recycling plant and fish farm proposals, because it is my job and duty to safeguard the Marsascala citizens' rights, it is her problem. What I know is that since the beginning of the campaign against those plans, she was conspicuous by her absolute absence.
Funnily enough, it was only when she decided to contest the local elections that she started writing such articles. Who mentioned political opportunism?
