Major Projects in Valletta have been the subject of discussion for many years: Fort St Elmo, the Royal Opera House site and City Gate are important sites, which require substantial investment and their restoration is now long overdue.

There are other smaller and more achievable projects, which could be considered and will bring about tangible improvements to Valletta's urban environment. The Valletta Alive Foundation (VAF) urges Government to put these projects further up its list of priorities and to make use of EU funds for these projects.

To learn more about EU funding and the opportunities that are available, the VAF has invited representatives of the Ministry for Tourism and Culture to make a presentation on the Valletta projects it is studying.

The presentation will be held at the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise, Republic Street, Valletta, on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.

VAF will hold its annual general meeting at 6 p.m., the first AGM since the foundation was established a year ago.

The meeting is open to the public although only members will be entitled to vote on motions and to elect the governors.
