Preparations are in full swing for The Bootleg Beatles show today week, a concert which promises to transport hundreds down memory lane.

The Bootleg Beatles have earned a reputation for emulating the Fab Four to perfection, as evidenced by their sell-out concerts.

They are one of the most sought after tribute acts in the world and over the last 20 years they have become probably the best-known tribute band in the UK.

The band has gone to extremes to reconstruct the Beatles feeling. All their costumes are tailor-made and designed by the Dougie Miller & Son, the same firm that the original Beatles used in their heyday. Their instruments - drums, guitars and even VOX amplifiers - are all original to guarantee the authentic 1960s sound.

The band is made up of performers from the Broadway musical Beatlemania.

In 1982 they performed in the former Soviet Union on a 60-day tour, giving a concert in front of 250,000 people in the process. They have also performed in the US, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain and France.

They have toured extensively in the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium and The Liverpool Empire, all sold-out crowds.

They also had the honour to play at Buckingham Palace during the Queen's Golden Jubilee Party, and at the Glastonbury festival.

The Bootleg Beatles will be accompanied by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the concert at the Eden Arena.
