The situation at the Forensic Laboratory 18 months after its transfer from Evans Buildings in Valletta to a former factory premises in San Gwann has gone from bad to worse, Labour's spokesman for justice and home affairs, Anglu Farrugia and Gavin Gulia, respectively, said. They claimed there was no air conditioning, so necessary to control the temperature of sensitive court exhibits.
Equipment used in inquiries, such as GCMS equipment used in drug-related investigations which had cost more than Lm20,000, was not functioning due to lack of repairs, they said.
