Sunday's two Premier League matches will be played at the Hibs Ground instead of the Tedesco Stadium for security reasons, the Malta FA said yesterday.
In a brief statement, the association said the matches Mosta vs Valletta and Hamrun vs Msida will not be played in Hamrun as originally scheduled but at the ground in Corradino with kick-off times fixed at 12.45 and 2.45 p.m. respectively. The switch was made on a request from the Police.
The two fixtures round up the Premier League first phase. The Hamrun-Msida match decides who joins Birkirkara, Hibs, Sliema, Marsaxlokk and Valletta in the Championship Pool.
Floriana, Pietà and Mosta are already destined to play in the Relegation Pool with another team to join the scrap to avoid the dreaded drop.
Saturday's Premier League matches at the National Stadium, Pietà vs Sliema (2 p.m.) and Hibs vs Marsaxlokk (4 p.m.), will go on as scheduled.
Meanwhile, the two Division One matches this weekend were brought forward by 24 hours at the Tedesco Stadium.
On Saturday, St Patrick play Lija at 1 p.m. and St George's face San Gwann at 3 p.m.
Revised programme
Saturday (Division One - Tedesco Stadium): 1 p.m. St Patrick vs Lija; 3 p.m. St George's vs San Gwann.
Sunday (Premier League - Hibs Ground): 12.45 p.m. Mosta vs Valletta; 2.45 p.m. Hamrun vs Msida.
