An exhibition consisting of 35 photographs illustrating the incredible beauty of Tibet will be inaugurated on Friday at the premises of the Malta-China Friendship Society at 7.30 p.m. by Mr Tang, senior counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Malta.
The premises are at 62, St Christopher Street, Valletta.
At present, an exhibition of 750 photographs taken by 100 of the world's best photographers is touring the world, obtaining great success wherever it is shown. The Malta exhibition will feature 35 of the best works submitted and eventually chosen to take part in the exhibition.
They can be viewed between 9.30 a.m. and noon and 4.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. during weekdays and between 9.30 a.m. and noon on Saturdays.
The exhibition, which is being organised by The Malta-China Friendship Society, the Chinese Cultural Centre and the Embassy of China in Malta, will remain open until February 17.
China ruled all of Tibet from the 18th century until Tibet became independent in 1911. Communist China reasserted its control in 1951.
