Hitler could have indeed violated "a neutral Malta", but then what does this have to do with the internees and how they were treated? Britain had the obligation, by treaty, in return for the use of our strategic location, to defend Malta in the case of foreign aggression. On this subject I will not mention the fact that the initial defence consisted of three obsolete bi-planes. If one treats the subject of the internees and the treatment they received seriously, one would open a Pandora's box and a few lines 60 years after the fact will do them no justice.
