Euro image

Jesus banished traders from the temple of God only for us Maltese to put his image on a trader's tool. After all, religion does mean money for most Maltese - note the way we light up the sky during our pagan feasts.

But we are a creative lot - creative as the bloke who thought of putting the euro coin images to a public vote, squandering a marketing opportunity that is much needed by Malta. I only pray that the good Lord sheds his enlightening sprit on some of the awkward, filthy and criminal activities the coins will be used for.
