At the last meeting of the Consumer Affairs Council (CAC) it was decided that, as members of the CAC, on behalf of the Consumers' Association, Emanuel Farrugia and I would ask consumers who read our columns to send health insurance queries to the Consumer Affairs Council, 4, Old Mint Street, Valletta, CMR 02. We need information which will give us an insight into real consumer problems related to health insurance such as increases in premiums, rejected claims by insurance companies, and any other problems you may encounter in your dealings with health insurance companies.
The information thus compiled will be discussed by the CAC. If necessary, the results will also be discussed formally with the Insurance Association and possibly with the Malta Financial Services Authority.
