The migration of Bank of Valletta employees to the new centre in Sta Venera is nearly complete, according to the bank.

With the official inauguration of the new centre scheduled for next month, the centre is fully functional and hosts some 25 customer service and other support units and a complement of over 400 employees.

Among the customer service activities now operating from the centre are the wealth management and stockbroking arms of the bank, the corporate centre, the card services department as well as the bank's customer service centre.

The first department to start operating was the premises department, which moved into the new premises last May. The bulk of the migration took place between last July and November. The remaining 30 employees are expected to move to Sta Venera in March.

The entire complex, spread over 5,000 square metres, offers full accessibility and is equipped with modern health and safety features that offer a secure and friendly environment to all personnel, the bank said.
