The House of Representatives yesterday observed a minute's silence to mark Holocaust Day as designated by the United Nations in a resolution last November. Picture shows Ann Frank, the 13-year-old Jewish girl who kept a diary of her family's harrowing plight as they evaded Nazi persecution in Amsterdam until they were betrayed. Ann died in Bergen-Belsen in March 1945, only a few weeks before this concentration camp was liberated.
