The news and pictures of rubbish in areas that have been cleaned up, in wilful defiance of the law and with the Cleansing Services Department readily cleaning up the new mess, is becoming pathetic to say the least.

Is it not possible for the police to investigate these cases seriously as is done in criminal cases? I am sure that they will find enough evidence among the rubbish that will lead them to the culprits. The police have been successful in solving many criminal cases. Why not these? Is it not funny to have the Cleansing and Services Department wasting so much money and energy by repeatedly performing the same job when aggressive investigations and surveillance would lead to the capture of these vandals?
