I want to express my disgust at the recent news that the area known as Il-Munxar has been closed off to the public, reportedly by a group of people who enjoy blasting wildlife out of the sky in their spare time.

This area has been a public right-of-way for as long as I can remember, and we cannot let this sort of thing go on anymore. Please, after we decide what we want depicted on the Maltese euro coins, can we move on to more important matters?
