I must thank The Times for publishing my letter on the subject of travelling insurance for those over 80 years (January 19).

Thanks to it and the intervention of Joseph Muscat, the Maltese member of the European Parliament, who noted my letter and succeeded in tracing me through friends, I have been made aware that there is a Maltese travel insurance company in Valletta that insures senior citizens over 80 provided they are members of the National Association of Pensioners, which is no problem, at least for me.

As the matter does not concern just me, this short correspondence could be of help to senior citizens who may be thinking of travelling abroad.
