Tow not clamp

With reference to the report about clamping of unlicensed cars, I would like to point out that perhaps towing away would be better than just clamping.

In the street where I live in Marsascala there is a vehicle whose windscreen licence expired last May. It is illegally occupying a precious parking space.

Every time I report it someone is sent to place a ticket under the front windscreen wiper. Needless to say this piece of paper turns to pulp every time it rains. This car is obviously abandoned and needs to be towed away and not clamped so that the residents can park their legally paid up licensed cars in its place.  

It can also serve as a temptation for arsonists or car dismantlers. So what are the authorities waiting for?
