Obituary
BUSUTTIL. On January 25, at St Luke's Hospital, ROSE, aged 65, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her cousins, family and close friends, especially Mrs Lilian Suda, who took great care of her, and Mrs Josephine Flores. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CASSAR DESAIN. On January 23, at her residence, PATRICIA née Galea, aged 45, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Michael, her parents Joseph E. and RoseMarie, her brother Philip and his wife Yvette, her brother Andrew, her sister Helen and her husband David Valenzia, her nephews and nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends. - R.I.P. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband George, her children, Tony and his wife Doris, Mario, Frida and her husband Joe Camilleri Anna and her husband Joe Cassar, grandchildren Melissa, Mirielle, Keith, Dawn and Ruth, Mary widow of her brother Joseph Scerri, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital, today at 2 p.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Hamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Logo Competition
The Expo-Science Mediterranean (ESM), which takes place in November, needs a logo which reflects Malta's history and tradition and at the same time projects its dynamism in the fields of science, research and development.
ESM 2006 will take an innovative and fun approach to science, through an exhibition, competitions and hands-on activities.
The competition will run until January 31 and is open to individuals of all ages. The logo design should be usable in different sizes and one or more colours, include the words ESM 2006 Malta, and must be submitted on one of the following formats: jpeg, gif, png or psd.
Each participant may submit more than one design and every design must be submitted in full colour and black and white versions, which shouldn't be smaller than 12cm x 12cm. Entries must be accompanied by a signed declaration of their originality and personal details of the participant. There are great prizes to be won, the 1st prize being two tickets to any Air Malta destination and the 2nd prize a book voucher from Agenda.
Entries should be sent by registered mail or delivered by hand to ESM 2006 Competition, NSTF, 220, St Paul's Street, Valletta VLT 07. Alternatively, entrants may choose to submit their work via e-mail on the following address: esm2006@nsts.org. Premises Allocation
The Housing Authority said that the final result of allocations for the purchase of premises issued under Legal Notice 1 Shared Ownership were published yesterday at the Habitat Hall, Binja Filippo Sciberras, Sir Filippo Sciberras Square, Floriana (where the applications were deposited) and at 25, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria. Those calling to view the lists must take with them the application number. The lists can be viewed until February 2 and are valid for a period of three months from today.
Euro Checklists
The National Euro Changeover Committee (NECC) has published a number of checklists aimed at assisting business organisations to assess their euro changeover preparations in time for the adoption of the euro on January 1, 2008.

Marian Song Festival
The Legion of Mary in Gozo will be holding the annual Marian Song Festival at the Don Bosco Oratory on May 6.
The festival is open to Gozitan singers aged over seven as well as groups.
Applications, rules and other details can be obtained from the Legion headquarters, St Augustine Square, Victoria on Wednesdays between 6 and 7 p.m.
Conversion Of St Paul
The celebration at the Mdina cathedral on the occasion of the liturgical feast of the Conversion of St Paul will start on Saturday at 5.45 p.m., with the veneration of the relic of St Paul, followed by Mass and First Vespers in Maltese.
On Sunday at 8.55 a.m. there will be the celebration of the Lauds followed by a Pontifical Concelebrated Mass at 9.30 a.m., presided over by Archbishop Mgr. Joseph Mercieca.
The programme at the cathedral will continue at 5.45 p.m. with Mass, Second Vespers in Maltese, followed by the repositioning of the relic.
Folk Singing Festival
The National Folklore Commission has issued a call for applications for participation in this year's Folk Singing Festival which will be held from May 26 to 28.
Interested folklore groups, folk singers and musicians can collect an application form from the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230 Republic Street, Valletta, (2123 2515) or send an e-mail to noelsammut@maltaculture.com.
All applications must be received by Tuesday.
A meeting will be held at Despott Hall, Ministry of Education, Floriana, for prospective participants on Sunday at 9 a.m.
Entry Exams
Examinations for entry into Forms II to V of the Junior Lyceum will be held in June and July.
Applications can be obtained either from the school where the candidate is attending, from the customer care unit of the Education Division, Floriana, or from the Education Office, Victoria, as from February 6.
The closing date for applications is noon on February 24.
More information can be obtained from the Government Gazette to be published on February 3.
Lucky Visitors
A visit to the Maltapost stand at the Weddings Fair held at the Trade Fair Grounds in Naxxar in November won Nicolette Ciantar from Siggiewi and her husband-to-be Pierre Abdilla from Safi a pair of wedding rings.
The Maltapost stand had promoted personalised stamps and visitors making enquiries had been presented with a sample sheet of such stamps, besides having their names included in a draw for the wedding rings donated by Pavillion Jewellers.
