A St Julians man was jailed for six months and fined Lm250 after he admitted to drug trafficking.
Magistrate Lawrence Anthony Vella heard Wayne Borg plead guilty to trafficking in ecstasy, the possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and the simple possession of heroin on and before September 2005.
The magistrate heard how Mr Borg was attending a drug rehabilitation programme and was doing well.
He consequently recommended the director of prison to allow Mr Borg to complete the programme.
Police Inspectors Nadia Lanzon and Pierre Grech prosecuted.
