The government demands we make efforts to carry the burden of the country, and as a responsible citizen I abide, but can the government take the responsibility and fix the stretch of road (a mere 100 metres) leading from the Ta' Xbiex boathouse to the Malta Transport Authority (Triq Sa Maison)? Why should tax-paying citizens on the way to work start the day hoping their car will survive the stress test this road performs on the vehicle?

Do we actually need a minister for roads? At this point I doubt it - only HRH the Queen thinks differently.

This road is vital for the smooth flow of traffic during peak hours, yet vehicles park illegally and traffic police, passing by regularly, seem to ignore this. Why? I am getting confused about what purpose the traffic police are employed for.
