During the Christmas holidays, five of us young teenagers went to the Valletta Pizza Hut for a treat. On arriving we ordered two pizzas. After the waitress got the cutlery, my friend and I were left without any cutlery. Fifteen minutes later the first pizza (treat for two) arrived and it was eaten in 10 minutes. Being ready, these two guys decided to do some shopping instead of wasting precious time! They came back about 30 minutes later and our pizza hadn't yet arrived.
When the waitress was nearby we asked her again what was happening, and guess what?
With a very relaxed smile she told us that they had forgotten our order. Half an hour later our long-awaited pizza was served. All in all we had waited for an hour-and-a-half.
After eating we asked for the bill. We couldn't believe that we had been treated so cheaply.
Our compensation consisted of only Lm1.48, which was 10 per cent of the total cost. When a newspaper advert costs so much money, isn't it foolish to spend so little on a "living" advertisement?
