O World champion Seba-stien Loeb, attempting to make up for a huge time deficit after skidding off the road on the opening day, completed five stage victories in the Monte Carlo Rally yesterday. Frenchman Loeb was in a class of his own throughout the day to surge from eighth to fourth in the overall standings. The Frenchman cut his deficit from three minutes 43 seconds to 2:40 on his rival and race leader Marcus Gronholm of Finland.
