Police seek escaped immigrant

Two of three illegal immigrants who escaped from police custody early on Friday have been caught, the police said yesterday.

Two policemen were injured when those escaping resisted arrest.

The immigrants were being detained at police headquarters in Floriana when they managed to cut through a fence and climb down a bastion using sheets.

Last night the third was still on the run.
