Outgoing British High Commissioner Sir Vincent Fean recently paid a courtesy visit to St Francis of Assisi Boys' Secondary School, St Venera. Accompanying him were Lady Fean, together with the director of the British Council, Ronnie Micallef.

School headmaster Joseph Grima and his distinguished guests discussed several educational issues related to the close co-operation that already exists between the school, the British High Commission and the British Council.

The Commissioner's visit was followed by a guided tour around the school where he saw the newly refurbished school library together with the new English Language Resource room.

The highlight of the visit was the opening of an exhibition on one of the pillars of English literature - Charles Dickens, set up by the Department of English of the same school.
