The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has called off industrial action by nurses and nursing aides at Mount Carmel Hospital.

The union had ordered the action earlier this month in reaction to a circular on vacation leave and time off in lieu, to which it had objected.

The union's health services section secretary John Briffa said a meeting was held with the hospital's chief executive and an agreement on the interpretation of the circular was reached.
