The university has been seeking sources where possible documents could be found that may shed some light on Malta's medieval history.

Quoting Giuseppe Quatriglio, a famous Sicilian journalist and history author: "Professor Othman Kaak, curator of Tunis' national library way back in 1960, insisted that, by examining the thousands of parchments still lying in libraries and monasteries, scholars could unearth Arab texts beneath the layers of Greek and Latin script."

These surviving parchments had yet to be deciphered and may disclose testimonies of a bygone era.

Crumbling documents could be saved by specialist restorers. The University could try and follow this up, as I am neither a historian nor a linguist. Nor do I have the time.
