Saying it with honey

I wish to congratulate Arnold Grech and his wife Doris for the letter of thanks they received from Buckingham Palace through Edward Young, assistant private secretary to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

During the recent visit to Malta of several heads of state for the CHOGM, Mr Grech supplied jars of honey to the President's Palace where the Queen was staying during her visit.

Mr Grech is a very well known apiarist who takes pride in his work. It is a pleasure listening to him talking about bees and the value of Maltese honey, on radio and TV - his knowledge on the subject is second to none.

I still remember very clearly when my late husband Arthur, who owned a poultry farm, supplied fresh eggs to the Palace during an earlier visit by the Queen. I still treasure the letter of thanks he received.

Genuine products do justice not only to the producers but also to the country.
