Real Madrid striker Ronaldo will be sidelined for three weeks after suffering a recurrence of a calf injury in his right leg.
The Brazil international, who sustained the original injury when he resumed training after the winter break, returned to action against Villarreal on Sunday. He only survived 33 minutes before limping off. The game ended goalless.
Ronaldo has had a difficult season with Real so far, missing all six of their Champions League matches because of injury and suspension.
