THE University Music Association (UMA) was set up by University students pursuing the Music Studies course. Since its inception, it has done its utmost to achieve its aims. It has organised several concerts for students and staff in the junior common room to increase the awareness of music on campus. A variety of genres of music featured during these concerts, ranging from rock to classical and from vocal to instrumental music.

Apart from organising academic and social activities, the UMA has collaborated with other University organisations such as KSU, the Mediterranean Institute and the Precincts Office in organising events open to the public.

The association also strives to improve the courses and to voice the requirements of the music student.

Students pursuing music courses at the University are automatically registered as members of the UMA. Membership is open to all students and to academic, administrative and technical staff.
