I refer to the article written by Anne Zammit entitled "All in a year's work" ('Natural Reaction', The Sunday Times, January 1).

Ms Zammit stated that the Department of Information needs to make all legal notices available online, adding that the public has a right to access this basic information at source.

It seems that it has been a long time since Ms Zammit accessed the Department of Information's Website ( www.doi.gov.mt ), as otherwise she would have discovered that all Legal Notices issued since January 2003 are available online.

Ms Zammit might also be interested to learn that all Legal Notices, Acts of Parliament, Bills presented in Parliament as well as Bye-Laws issued in terms of the Local Councils Act, are all regularly posted on the Website and available free of charge, soon after their publication in the Malta Government Gazette.

Moreover, for the past two years the Department of Information has been annually publishing all Acts and Legal Notices on CD. The CD for 2005, containing 418 Legal Notices and 22 Acts of Parliament, will be available for sale next month.
