THE Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) is organising a course on People Management in SMEs as part of its Continuous Professional Development Programme for this year. The course is being held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, January 23, 24 and 25, and Monday, January 30, between 3 and 7 p.m., at the FHRD premises at 1, Kampanella Street, San Gwann.
The course is aimed at managers operating in a small- to medium-sized business environment both in the manufacturing as well as the service industry, functional and line managers who manage people and prospective managers.
Dr Silvio De Bono, DBA (Maastricht), M.Phil, MA (HRD), BA (Comm), Dip (Jour) AMIPD, MIM, will be the trainer and will cover subjects, like the role managers in small enterprises play; the importance of transformational leadership in SMEs; how to best motivate employees; the management of teams in a small business environment; and how relationships building can lead to a healthy group.
The course costs Lm60 (inclusive of VAT) for FHRD members and Lm70 for non-members.
