The chairman of the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund of Corradino, Giorgia Tabone, has appealed to all those who can assist the fund to come forward.

"Fund-raising is dominated by national campaigns, and raising funds for institutions is becoming ever more difficult," she said as she welcomed the President and Mrs Fenech Adami at the Christmas party organised by the PHRF at Corradino.

Mrs Tabone added that the PHRF council was working hard to enhance its services for members and thanked all those that in some way or another had assisted the council in its aims.

"We at the PHRF depend on fund-raising to be able to provide a service to the physically handicapped," she added.

The fund, formerly known as the Infantile Paralysis Fund, will this year celebrate its 60th anniversary.
