The eurozone industrial producer price index fell by 0.2 per cent in November compared with the previous month, according to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European communities.

During that month, EU25 prices rose by 0.5 per cent.

Last October, prices increased by 0.6 per cent in the eurozone and by 0.9 per cent in the EU25. In November 2005 compared to November 2004, industrial producer prices rose by 4.2 per cent in the eurozone and by 5.5 per cent in the EU25.

Eurostat said that last November, compared to November 2004, the volume of retail trade grew by 0.3 per cent in the eurozone and by 1.4 per cent in the EU25.

Compared to October 2005, the retail sales index fell by 0.1 per cent in the eurozone and rose by 0.4 per cent in the EU25.
