Bid to help workers manage stress

The employees of Multitrade Ltd will benefit from the Richmond Foundation's staff and organisation support programme following an agreement between the two sides.

The company's management recognises the importance of having a contented and healthy workforce and this is the reason behind providing their employees with the service.

"The SOSP is one way the management at Multitrade helps its employees manage their stressful life experiences whether these are work-related, personal and social, or the interface between the two," company managing director Arthur Cassar said.

Richmond Foundation provides the programme as part of its prevention campaign to contribute towards a healthy and resilient society. It is a pro-active programme promoting best practices to prevent stress throughout the organisation and in individual employees. It also aims to maximise the employees' well-being and minimise unnecessary burnout.

At the signing of the agreement, Richmond Foundation chief executive Doris Gauci encouraged other employers to follow the example set by Multitrade.
