The campaign on New Year's day to raise funds for Dar tal-Providenza, the Siggiewi residential complex for people with disabilities, raised Lm151,719 in donations from the public.

The activity was organised by the Church radio station RTK. The home needs Lm1.6 million annually to run and had a deficit of Lm305,000 during 2004.

The fund-raising took place during an open day which hundreds of people attended, enjoying a show that went on until just after midnight.
