Aid for immigrants

Malta International Airport has presented a donation to the Malta Red Cross Society to help the organisation provide blankets at the centres that host illegal immigrants.

Chief executive officer Peter Bolech said MIA is committed to helping organisations such as the Red Cross whose mission is to provide humanitarian assistance wherever there is dire need. Mr Bolech commended the Malta Red Cross for its mission and appealed to individuals and other organisations to follow suit and support this non-profitable organisation in their worthy cause, since the entire sum needed for the provision of blankets in the present cold weather is yet to be collected.
