Obituaries
BALZAN. On January 1, BEATRICE née Camoin, widow of Vincent, aged 90, of Valletta residing in San Gwann, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughter Mary widow of Philip Gatt, her son Frank and his wife Bridie who reside in England, and Margaret widow of her son John who resides in America; her grandchildren Vivienne, Mario, Vincent, Anne, Colette and Susan and their respective spouses, her great- grandchildren Luke, Diane, Emily, Lucy, Christopher, Anthony, Olivia and John, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for San Gwann parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
MICALLEF. On January 1, JOSEPH, of Rabat residing at Paola, passed peacefully away at the age of 77, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Josephine, his only son Pierre and his wife Doreen, his grandchildren Jean-Luc, Kane and Kelly, his brother Tony and his wife Wilhelmina, his sisters Vanna Mahoney, Lina Vassallo, Cettina Fabri, Polly and Michael Mamo and their families, his in-laws Mary and Sonny Cachia, Helen and Brian Dixon, Tessie Bruno and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 2.15 p.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.45 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord grant him eternal rest.
MICHAEL. G.I. (Iori) O.B.E. died peacefully in his sleep at home. He was a loving and much beloved husband, father and grandfather. Sadly missed.
VASSALLO. On December 31, suddenly at St Luke's Hospital, Emanuel, husband of Catherine, aged 56, of Vassallo Properties Ltd, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by his daughters Dorianne and her husband Joemar, Lucienne and her husband Etienne, and his son Joseph, his grandchildren Luke and Kristy, his brothers and sisters and their families, nephews, nieces and cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends, and the employees of Vassallo Properties Limited. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.15 p.m. for Mosta parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Mosta cemetery.
