Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile (TPCA), the Czech-based Franco-Japanese carmaking joint venture, on December 19 announced that the 100,000th car had rolled off its production lines at Kolin, around 40 km east of Prague.

Production started in February with three production lines now functioning and a target to manufacture 300,000 cars a year.

The small family cars produced at the plant are marketed separately by the partners as the Citroën C1, Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107.
