Death on Italian motorway

Raymond Sorù turned 30 on November 9 but died in a car accident on the Italian motorway that leads from Rome to Pescara on November 25. Raymond lived in Pescara with his wife and his three and a half-year-old child. He was to become father again, but died exactly three weeks before his second child was born. The car was driven by Raymond's friend. Raymond hit his head and died on the spot; nothing happened to the driver.

Raymond was born in Malta, at St Luke's Hospital, in 1975. His father Enzo is from Cagliari, his mother, Carmen née Demicoli, is from Zabbar. He was baptised on Christmas Eve at Zabbar parish church. Carmen, Enzo and their family often come to Malta as they have relatives and friends here.

Mass for the repose of Raymond's soul will be said on Thursday at Zabbar parish church at 6 p.m. The family wholeheartedly thanks all relatives and friends who will attend.
