New centre for brain injured children

The Step by Step Foundation, in conjunction with the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem (Grand Priory of the Maltese Islands), officially opened Centru Kavallier Vincent John Bugeja in Hamrun, offering assistance and support to families with brain injured children.

The centre, which opened a few days before Christmas, is at 4, School Street.

It is the second one that has been inaugurated jointly this year, the first having been opened in September in Gharb. The Gharb local council had offered part of its premises for the foundation's use and for the benefit of Gozitan brain injured children.

The Step by Step Foundation is a philanthropic, therapy-based organisation which strives to improve the quality of life of these children and assist them to reach their full potential.
