Two women were terrorised when three hooded robbers, one of whom was carrying a firearm, entered a house in St Paul's Bay yesterday and made off with cash and jewellery.

The police said both women were slightly injured in the incident.

The robbery took place at about 7 a.m. in Parades Street.

The robbers forced their way into the residence as one of the woman opened her front door.

An elderly neighbour was in the house at the time, the police said.

Magistrate Silvio Meli appointed a team of court experts to draw reports for an inquiry.
